3. Nannies: Code 0913 -- "Domestic Workers - Residences - Full Time" (Over 20 hours/week) Code 0908 --"Domestic Workers - Residences - Part Time" (Less than 20 hours/week)
4. Residential Carpentry or Remodeling (1 or 2 family Dwellings): Code 5645 --"Carpentry-in Construction of Detached Dwellings".

How do I determine a class code for a business?
You classify the business of the employer within the state, not separate employments, occupations, or operations within the business.
For specific codes, refer to the Classification section of the Minnesota Basic Manual or the Classification Search tool, both found on our website.

If a MN Assigned Risk Plan policyholder has an employee or employees working in other states, will the MN Workers Compensation policy provide coverage to that employee or those employees while working in those other states?

How do I obtain an experience modification when moving from a self-insured program to the voluntary market?
Experience of self-insurers may be included in an experience rating. The data must be submitted to MWCIA in an approved format (ERM-6). Refer to the ERM-6 form found under "Forms/Manuals Publications" tab, "Forms", at www.mwcia.org for instructions and along with a copy of this form.

If I own and operate a small business (2 employees) in MN, do I need to cover myself (the owner) to be in compliance with the law?

What data is needed by MWCIA to experience rate an employer exiting a self-insured market and entering the voluntary market?
The same scope of data provided by the voluntary market is needed from the self-insured market. Refer to the MN Unit Statistical Plan Manual for details.

Can I request a Certificate of Insurance from MWCIA?
You can attach a request for a Certificate of Insurance to an online or hard copy application. MWCIA does not issue the certificate. The request is forwarded to the servicing contractor along with the assignment. If the application was submitted without the request for a certificate, you should contact the servicing contractor.

What are the 2010, 2011, and 2012, minimum payroll figures for the spouse, parent or child of a sole proprietor, partner, or officer electing coverage? What are the maximum payroll figures for these individuals?
The minimum payrolls are:
2010-$263 per week or $13,676 annually 2011-$260 per week or $13,520 annually 2012-$269 per week or $13,988 annually
Payroll of these family members is not subject to a maximum amount.

What are the State Per Claim Accident Limitation amounts for 2010, 2011, and 2012 experience modificatons?
2010--$172,000; 2011--$179,000. 2012 --$194,000

We did not receive a copy of a Unit Statistical Report or any Rejection Edit Errors for April, 2010. Does this mean that all of our records were accepted as okay?
MWCIA discontinued sending "hard copy" reports and rejection letters relating to USR data effective January 1, 2009. These reports are now available to members via MWCIA’s website as part of our Manage USR program. Please refer to Circular Letter No. 08-1533 for further details regarding this change.

Are E-mailed or faxed responses to MWCIA criticism letters considered electronic submissions?
No. If you are currently approved to submit policies, cancellations, reinstatements, and change transactions electronically, then submit your response through CDX. If you are not approved to submit data via CDX, then send your responses, hardcopy, through the US Mail.

2010--$22,360 minimum and $91,260 maximum 2011--$22,568 minimum and $90,272 maximum 2012--$23,296 minimum and $93,184 maximum

What constitutes Full Time vs Part Time for the domestic worker codes, 0908 and 0913?
Full Time is more than 20 hours per week and Part Time is less than 20 hours per week.
